Malaika Arora‘s father Anil Mehta passed away on September 11 after he committed suicide by jumping from the balcony of his house. His sudden death news left the entire film fraternity shocked. Well, the reason behind his death is not known as of now. Malaika who was in Pune for a shoot, rushed back to Mumbai to be with her grieving mother Joycee. Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Kajol, Karisma Kapoor, Salim Khan, Helen, Ananya Panday and more celebrities offered condolences to the Arora family. Anil Mehta’s funeral was held this morning.

Malaika’s son Arhaan ignored her ex-boyfriend and actor Arjun Kapoor. Malaika Arora and Arbaaz Khan’s son Arhaan maintained a distance from Arjun. In the video, Arhaan was seen coming into the building behind his aunt Amrita and her husband Shakeel Ladakh. The two waved at Arjun, while the latter tried moving towards Arhaan after seeing him. But, Arhaan moved a little to the side and later Arjun stopped for a while as he walked behind him.

Says lot about the relationship.’ Arjun Kapoor rushed to meet Malaika Arora post news of her father’s demise came out. In the video, Arjun and Arhaan were under the same roof. After Arhaan distanced himself from Arjun, even the latter stopped himself from talking to him. Arjun was seen supporting Malaika in her tough time. Also, the entire Khan family stood beside Malaika and the entire Arora family during their grieving time. Malaika and Arjun were in a relationship, but the two parted ways due to the reason best known to them.
Malaika issued the first statement after her father’s death and she wrote, ‘We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear father, Anil Mehta. He was a gentle soul, a devoted grandfather, a loving husband and our best friend. Our family is in deep shock by this loss and we kindly request privacy from the media and well-wishers during this difficult time. We appreciate your understanding, support and respect. With gratitude, Joyce, Malaika, Amrita, Shakeel, Arhaan, Azaan, Rayyan, Casper, Axl, Duffy and Buddy’.
Malaika’s parents Anil and Joycee got divorced, but have been staying together for some time now. Joycee Polycarp said that she was in the house when the incident took place. She said that she noticed her husband’s slippers in the living room and began looking for him in the balcony. As she did not find him there, she leaned over the railing and noticed that he was lying on the floor.
