A few days ago, Kangana Ranaut was busy with interviews and promotions of her highly ambitious movie Emergency. It was supposed to release in theatres on September 6, 2024. However, the CBFC had yet to clear it back then. Even though Ranaut’s movie has now got certification, the release date is yet to be finalised. The actress doesn’t seem pleased with the delay. In Emergency, Kangana Ranaut portrays former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The story is set during India’s emergency period, when several people questioned Gandhi’s decision. Now in an interview, the actress has strongly reacted to the delay and even called Bhindranwale a terrorist. While speaking at the News18 India Chaupal event, Kangana Ranaut stated that our history is intentionally hidden and people are not told about it. It is not the time of good people, the actress believes. About Emergency, the Tanu Weds Manu actress stated that her film is ready to be released as it has received certification. She took the help of four historians to make it and have proper documents and there is nothing wrong with her movie. The actress stated, “But some people call Bhindranwale a saint, revolutionary, or leader. They threatened via pleas (to ban her film). I have also received threats. Previous governments have declared Khalistanis as terrorists. He was not a saint who was sitting in a temple with an AK47.” Ranaut further said that only some people are against her movie’s release and they’re inciting others. “I don’t think 99 percent of the people of Punjab consider Bhindranwale a saint. He is a terrorist and if he is a terrorist, my film should be released.”

Further in this entertainment news, the Panga actress questions when people will continue to play safe and she isn’t the one who functions like this. She never thought people would have an objection to Bhindranwale being shown as a terrorist. “I am being tortured. It is so embarrassing for me. We also faced losses. My movie was cancelled just 4 days ago,” reveals Ranaut.
